Content & Social Media Achievements
E.A.T. Foundation Instragram
https://www.instagram.com/thetablebeckons/
We identified Instagram as a social media priority for the charitable E.A.T. Foundation as it was a perfect fit for their demographics—not only in the people they wanted to reach for their foodie event fundraisers, but also to establish connections with chef volunteers and provide them opportunities for recognition on their preferred platform. In a concentrated, six-month consistency effort, we grew the organization’s following from approximately 30 followers to 690 followers and average engagements on posts from 10 to 60. Perhaps most importantly, we received in-person feedback at E.A.T. fundraising events that individuals had heard about the work of the E.A.T. Foundation through Instagram, indicating that our strategy was connecting with our intended audience in a meaningful way.
Accreditation for Cardiovascular Excellence News Brief / Blog
When we took over management of Accreditation for Cardiovascular Excellence, the organization had the common pitfall of having invested a significant amount in a customized website solution for their accreditation processes that was unfortunately already quite out of date in terms of search engine optimization (SEO). We knew that organic search should be a priority for the organization—especially in reaching administrators and doctors with a specific interest in cardiology quality standards and metrics—but we were essentially starting from zero, as the organization did not appear on the first page of Google results for “cardiology accreditation” and received virtually no organic traffic from search engines.
We saw the opportunity to establish a blog as a natural extension of the fundamental mission of the organization—to spread best practices and improve quality by sharing the latest developments in cardiovascular science. With a concerted effort in creating great, valuable and timely content with targeted SEO, our “Quality Matters” blog initiative improved the main website’s search engine rankings and now forms the basis for a revamped ACE website that is under construction. Organic traffic is now a primary driver of traffic to cvqualitymatters.org and cvexcel.org, and was a driver in doubling ACE’s revenue stream over the past three years.
Alliance of Cardiovascular Professionals’ Facebook & Blog

ACVP’s blog and Facebook presence is a great example of our philosophy of creating content that members’ want to share. Our editorial calendar for ACVP has a wide breadth of focus—spanning from news and developments outside the organization but relevant to our members, news or promotions for ACVP member services, calls to action from ACVP advocacy efforts, and also ACVP member recognition.
But we are able to balance a wide focus and all of the competing priorities of the organization by focusing on what’s engaging and shareable for our audience. Our social management has steadily grown the ACVP’s Facebook following from less than 100 likes to its current 700 likes and 728 followers. Our posts regularly achieve reach of over 1,000—beyond our likes count—due to shares from our network. The Facebook page often posts content directly from ACVP’s blog – which has also been a platform for member engagement, recognition and discussion that is achieving organizational goals in terms of both organic and referral traffic. We were agile and responsive to the opportunities and challenges of COVID-19, successfully capturing increased virtual engagement with a 12.36% year-over-year increase in unique web users during the first six months of 2020.
